Work for The NYC Department Of Health.

I was inspired to submit ideas to the New York City department of Health by my cousin William Cordero. He passed away from AIDS at the age of 50. I wanted to educate the young about HIV & AIDS on his behave. I came up with a talking pencil name Len Licnep. It's pencil spelled backwards. When the pamphlet was published it was distributed through out all the NYC public schools.  I use to sign my work, REDROC. That's my last name spelled backwards; leaving out the last letter.
I'm glad I still have the mechanicals. Not only did I write and illustrated the pamphlet, I also prepared the artwork for the printer.

This is a 12 page comic book. The mystical character EKAWA, (AWAKE spelled backwards,) magically appears to warn a man of the dangers of STD'S.

The End

This is a comic book about tuberculosis.  It was commissioned by The NYC Department of health, but it was never published.

I drew kids playing Skelly on the street. I grew up playing the game on the lower east side.
